About our comparison websites

Who are we?

Vergelijk.nl was founded in 1999 and became the first price comparison website in the
Netherlands.

In 2000, operations expanded to Finland with the launch of Vertaa.fi. This was followed by further international growth, including expansion into Belgium in 2002 with the introduction of Vergelijk.be and the acquisition of Dutch competitor ElCheapo.nl in 2006.

In 2021, Compare Group launched a new CSS in Germany named BesteKauf.de. Less than a year later, Compare Group entered the Swedish market with the launch of Varusök.se, continuing its European expansion. In 2025, this expansion was further strengthened with the addition of France, Norway, and Denmark.

Our mission is to help consumers find the best possible purchase. We do this by showcasing a wide range of products from multiple webshops, enabling visitors to easily compare options and find the product that best matches their needs.

Which webshops are connected to Compare Group?

A wide range of webshops are connected to our platform, from large retailers to small stores. All partner webshops are screened for reliability, allowing consumers to shop with confidence when purchasing from our partners.

Compare Group has multiple comparison websites in different countries. Can I also list my products on these websites?

We are an international comparison platform active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Sweden, France, Norway, and Denmark.

How can I connect my webshop?

Would you like to connect your webshop to one of our comparison websites? You can easily get started by completing the registration form. Our team is ready to support you and answer any questions you may have, feel free to contact us for more information. We are here to help!

What information is required for registration?

To connect your webshop to our service, we require the following information:

  • Company information (Chamber of Commerce number, contact details, and billing details)
  • Webshop information (domain name and shop logo)
  • Data feed URL
  • SEPA form for direct debit
  • VAT number

How long does it take for my products to be listed?

Once you have registered with one of our international comparison websites, we will set up a personal dashboard for you. Our team will analyse your data feed and provide clear, actionable feedback to help you get the most out of our platform. When everything is fully optimised, you can often go live within just 2–3 days. As soon as your webshop is live, we will inform you right away.

Which product categories are available on your platform?

We cover more than 3,000 different product categories. To make searching easier for our users, we have organized these categories into various segments, sub-themes, and themes.On each website, our complete and individual category tree is displayed.

Clicks and CPC

How does CPC work?

We operate on a CPC model with fixed rates per category, based on a carefully balanced relationship between CPC pricing and volume. The complete price list is available on each comparison website, with direct links provided below.

What counts as a click?

A click is the registration of a clicked deeplink in Compare Group’s system. For billing purposes, a maximum of five clicks from the same IP address/user to the same store offers within a 24-hour day (00:00:00–23:59:59) are taken into account. Clicks from internal Compare Group systems and agencies, as well as clicks from bots identified by Compare Group as bots, are filtered out. This ensures that you only pay for consumers who actually click through to your webshop.

How many clicks can I expect?

The number of clicks you receive depends on several factors, such as price, delivery times, category, and the number of products in your feed. It is also possible to set a monthly budget with us.

Can I see my statistics?

When you sign up with us, you get access to our PartnerNet dashboard, where you can view your clicks and costs on a daily basis. The dashboard also provides insight into your feed performance. In addition, you can monitor your performance free of charge through an API integration with your own Google Analytics. This integration is easily set up by one of our partners.

Besides the integration, we also set up a unique performance dashboard for you where you can view revenue, costs, and ROAS at both category and product level. This gives you daily insight into the additional revenue generated through our platform.

Datafeed

How do I create a high-quality data feed?

Your data feed will be connected to our platform. It is important that the data feed meets our minimum requirements, as this increases the visibility and conversion of your products. Once the feed meets the minimum requirements, it can be connected within two to three days. Instructions for creating a data feed can be found in our data feed guide.

How should I provide the product feed?

The feed must be stored on your server, and the URL must be provided to us. We will update the feed multiple times per day to keep your offers and stock levels on our platform up to date.

Billing

Monthly billing

You will receive your invoices by email at the beginning of each month. We apply a minimum monthly invoice amount of €25, excluding VAT, unless your CPC costs exceed this amount. In that case, you only pay the actual CPC costs. If you have any questions about the invoice, please contact us.

Changing your financial details

It is very important that you inform us of any changes to your financial details in a timely manner. Please do so before the 25th of the month. These changes will then be processed before the end of the month.

  • New bank account number (with new SEPA form)
  • New VAT number
  • New billing email address

Change of company name

If your company name changes, you must always inform us. For example, this may occur if the company’s legal structure changes. We will process the change and update it in your account.
